Firebirds News · Spring Sport Schedules

Thank you for your patience while we continue to update our new website.

As you may have noticed, we are still populating schedules and rosters for the “Schedules and Rosters” pages for each respective sport. In the meantime, if you need to find a game schedule, please refer to the “Program Links” section and then “Results” in each sport’s page. There will be a complete schedule there and you can use this as a reference until we update our main schedules page.

Again, thank you for your patience and Go Firebirds!

Firebirds News · Kroger Plus Card Users For Athletics – April Is Registration Month!

Kroger Plus Card Users For Athletics – April Is Registration Month!

Kroger requires that Community Rewards participants re-enroll each year during the month of April.  If you were a Community Rewards participant last year, you’ve probably received an email from noreply@kroger.com with instructions about how to re-enroll.  The short version is to go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com , sign in, select your organization (Lakota West Athletic Boosters #80653), and save.  If you have problems or questions, contact Kim Brumley at 1-800-294-4438 option #2.  Please take a moment to do this before the end of April.

Kroger donates $1,000,000 per quarter to charities that sign up for it’s Community Rewards program.  The more people we have signed up, the more we spend as a group which gives us a bigger share of the $1,000,000.  If you shop at Kroger and would like to begin supporting Lakota athletics for the first time, use the link above and click on “Create an account” in the upper right-hand corner.  Follow the instructions provided.

Our participation during the last two quarters alone has generated over $5600!  The Athletic Department and Athletic Boosters appreciate your support!

Thanks … and Go Firebirds!!

Firebirds News · Westfirebirds.com Updates!

Spring results are now coming online.  As of today (4/5/2013) we have results posted for four baseball games, 2 softball games, 3 boys volleyball games, and 2 girls lacrosse games with more results now coming online daily.  The results pages for each sport can now be found under each sport’s Program Links section.  Go to Spring Sports, then sport of interest, then Program Links, and then Results.  Boys and Girls Track and Field, Boys Tennis, and Boys Lacrosse will begin competition next week.

Also, the head coaches directory is now up for all sports and all seasons; spring, fall, and winter. This can be found under Firebird HQ on the main menu.

The current plan is to move all the information that was available on the previous version of westfirebirds.com to the new version that made it’s debut on 3/28/2013.  Due to the massive amount of material (Archives sections, Coaches sections etc.) to be moved, we will concentrate on Spring sports first with Fall, and Winter to follow.   Sections such as team photo’s, rosters, and schedules should be coming on line daily over the next several days.
