Lakota West Boys Volleyball Alumni: Vohland Named MCVL Offensive Player of the Week for 3rd Time this Season

Lakota West Grad Alex Vohland (’12), 6’4″ outside hitter for Mount St. Joseph University Men’s Volleyball team, has been named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League’s (MCVL) Offensive Player of the Week for the thrid time this season.  Going into the season, Vohland was named to the Block/Springback Inc. Preseason All-America Team.  In 2015, he was the first player in MSJ program history to be named to the AVCA All-America Team.

At Lakota West, Vohland was a two time 1st Team All-GMC recipient.  In 2012, he was the GMC Player of the Year.  Vohland was All-State Honorable Mention in 2011 and 1st Team All-State in 2012.
