Lakota West Boys Lacrosse: Firebirds Fight Back to Beat Thunderhawks in OHSLA Tourney

The Lakota West Boys Lacrosse team opened the first round of the OHSLA State Tournament against district-rival Lakota East on Wednesday night at Lakota West.  The Firebirds struggled early in the game falling behind 7-3 at halftime.  However, the team fought back in the second half allowing only one more Thunderhawk goal and scoring eight of their own to win the battle 11-8.  Senior Daniel Carter and Nathan Bengal were credited with stellar defense in the game.

Lakota West Scoring:

Freshman Aiden Manning 1 goal
Freshman Sam Howard 3 goals 1 assist.
Junior Craig Thompson 2 goals 2 assists.
Sophomore Nathan Brooks 2 goals.
Sophomore Nathan Spinosa 2 goals
Junior Rhys Johnson 1 goal.

The Firebirds will play their next game against #1 state ranked St. Xavier on Saturday, May 21st, 7:00pm at St. X.
